Mena Alexa Suvari was born on the 29th of September, 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actress. After a brief stint as a fashion model and then a transition to acting, appearing as guest actors on television shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. The actress made her debut in film in the 1997 documentary Nowhere. The performances she made on the film American Beauty, for which she won a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more public attention. Her next role was Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the title character for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun And Trauma a thriller movie from 2004 featured two of her performances. She appeared in HBO's dramatic show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was included in a variety of films, including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was a Lancome Paris Adaptive model and Lancome Paris cosmetics print ad model has been featured on numerous fashion and lifestyle magazines, such as Vogue. She has long been an advocate and supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation. She is also active in female empowerment issues and is involved with organizations whose mission is breast cancer as well as the End Violence Against Women campaign. Her most well-known performances include Dark Angel Heroes, The Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper, and Rookie Blue. She has modelled for many famous brands like Mercedes-Benz Sprint Canada and the Olympics. Missy's filmography includes Stick It Backcountry, Something Red, and Wide Awake. The talented actress was able to shine in both of the films. Missy is a big-hearted lady. She is involved in philanthropic projects.
